Cable Weave Scarf – Knitting Pattern
Written instructions and photos for knitting the Cable Weave Scarf. This very soft scarf is warm and lovely, the long length and wider width make it possible to wear it many different ways.
Lightly Blocked Size: 10 inches wide, 70 inches long (including fringe)
If made using acrylic yarns it can be machine washed and dried, the more washing the softer and cozier it gets.
There are some photos included to help give a visual of the written instructions. There is no chart.
• 1 pair of straight or circular knitting needles size 9
• Cable Needle
• Stitch Holder
• Stitch Markers
You’ll 4 ply worsted weight acrylic yarn, or wool blend. In the photo used for this pattern the yarn used is:
• Worsted Weight Acrylic Medium #4
(Off White – Caron Simply Soft)
Approximately 300 Yards
This pattern is best suited to an advanced beginner/intermediate knitter, it has one cable on each side and a textured weave pattern in the middle. The cables are not hard once you’ve done them a couple of times. If you haven’t done cables before, use some practice yarn and follow the pattern.
